To whom it may concern:

I am writing this letter to request the removal of any sanctions/limitations on my ability to obtain a state drivers license by removing my name and identity, from the Problem Driver Pointer System. I have tried, as instructed on the PDPS Problem Announcement form handed to me on 12/28/2012 at the local DMV office to contact the state of California with the number provided on said form to rectify this matter without success.

When contacting the DMV, I was told that they could not help me and that I would have to contact the individual courts, or to discuss with the collection agency “GC Services” to release any holds on my license. I began the process of trying to figure out what was needed to restore my privilege to drive, and was astonished by the lack of clarity in the path to do so. I have been denied by both the State of California and GC Services ( the private company located in Texas with the collections contract) a complete list of infractions, fines or any other citations on my drivers license. GC services said that they would mail me a total of five infractions to my updated address (which was given to them at call), however I have not received these notices.

I have attached a copy of the call notes to this email and can explain further if necessary.

From what I gather via the phone conversation and personal memory, the infractions were for a speeding ticket, improper wearing of seat belt, and not having insurance. The last two would not apply in New Hampshire as you are not required to wear a seat belt, or carry insurance unless specifically ordered to. All citations would go away with money, which I do not have to expend. It is difficult to make without a license.

I have hope, that since I am writing this to the safety department for the state, you will find that I do not pose a risk to drivers in the state in which I am applying for my license. The reason for being on the PDPS system in not that I am a dangerous individual while on the road, but that I do not have the means to pay fines. I used to install Satellite TV and have had to change professions, move back to my home state, and teach myself how to work in a much less lucrative field all without assistance from parents, state or any government agency.

Honestly from the bottom of my heart, I am asking for your help removing my name from the PDPS and working towards a better system of protecting drivers everywhere. As I have proven above, a rich man could violate laws meant to protect others multiple times as long as he paid the fines. Something along the lines of community service for all offenders would create a fair and balanced system as “all men are create equal” .

Thank you for your time and I hope for your help in resolving this matter,

Your Friend on Earth

I order online frequently, buying all types of items – from collectables, things I don’t really want to buy (as to get them cheaply), clothes, to my favorite – electronics. Consumers can get the best rates, enjoy a larger selection and in many cases, get free shipping. a virtual shoppers paradise.

I will, however, never shop online for Christmas again.

In writing this letter 1 week prior to XMas, I have in my possession a less desirable product than the one I ordered from Amazon. It is missing a key feature from the one I ordered from Amazon.com. I tried to get a replacement over a week ago, but the Amazon seller did not have the product they advertised, and shipped me an inferior unit for a quick sale. After contacting Amazon several times, I am still waiting on a refund.

As soon as I figured out I couldn’t get what I wanted through my original outlet, I made a purchase through a large online vendor, NewEgg.com on the 14th, and was promised to be shipped by today. It has not shipped, and the NewEgg shop says it’s out of stock. NewEgg and Amazon both have my money and I will not have what I ordered by Christmas. what is worse is that I fee that it is a deliberate attempt to capture my and other consumers valuable shopping dollars.

Looks like big box stores like Best Buy and Walmart may have a chance after all. I will never buy gifts online again.

Statute of Limitations laws limit the time for prosecution of criminal charges and civil complaints.

I am not a lawyer, but from my reading and common sense, statutes of limitations were set up to prevent harassing/wasteful prosecution and to ensure that those accused of crimes can properly defend themselves by calling on witnesses and bringing forth other evidence in their defense. Imagine prosecution commencing on, let’s say, an 8 1/2 year old case. Since all criminal charges must be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, it is unreasonable to believe that any witness can accurately describe events, feelings or other personal accounts for long periods of time, no matter how traumatizing. People forget, learn, and change their opinion. Cases of great age must therefore be supported with much more physical evidence . Written statements can be used, however, can be influenced by surrounding circumstances such as shock or fear of punishment.

Statute of limitations are usually set by severity of crime and differ by state. Less serious offenses such as infractions and misdemeanors have shorter time frames in which charges must be filed. Some states require that prosecution must only commence (by filing a warrant for arrest), while others may require that formal charges be brought against the defendant at arraignment before requirements are met.

Tolling, or a pause in the Statute of Limitations, occurs in most cases when a defendant is engaged in similar illegal activity or when they have left the state in which the crime has been allegedly committed. Time begins to resume when the defendant resumes conducting business in state.

This is not absolute, however, and has been found that “If the authorities fail to discover a criminal living in the open within a specified amount of time, society has determined that at that point the criminal should be able to live free from the possibility of prosecution. It appears that this notion is born out of a sense of mercy more than pragmatics: if the criminal is a fugitive, out of the state in which the crime was committed or otherwise living in hiding, this tolls, or suspends, the statute. (Once the criminal reenters the state the statute resumes running.) However, if the criminal were living an open, public, so-called “reformed” life, after a reasonable period of time he is allowed to be free from capture.” – USLegal.com

Maintaining Prosecution

It is logical, seeing that Statutes of Limitations were created to both protect those accused of crimes and the public financial resources, that as long as a defendant remains diligent in maintaining their defense, that the State or plaintiff must also maintain prosecution. This means that they must respond to the defendant’s claims, inquiries and such, made in good faith, to ensure that evidence remains fresh or otherwise relevant to the case. More serious crimes require greater burden of proof, usually evidence less prone to decay (i.e. physical evidence as opposed to statements), hence the longer Statutes of Limitation for Felonies, and indefinite time for murder.

If the plaintiff fails to maintain prosecution, they give up their right to continue charging the defendant and society deems that person to be free of further negative action. This prevents a defendant from ever being tried without the constitutional right to a fair and speedy trial. The burden of proof remains on the prosecution, and the have given up by abandoning the charges.

I have tried everything possible to be a good citizen.

Just got out of the police station after being arrested while riding my bike 50 ft on the sidewalk (at time of arrest I was off sidewalk) while waiting for my sandwich to be made at a local small business. Police claimed I had an open warrant from 2004 for unlawful possession of alcohol (Statute of Limitations for Misdemeanors is 1 yr, Felonies 6) but would not at the time tell me anything about the warrant, including what it was for or when.

Instead, the police proceeded to handcuff me in front of my fellow customers and business owners (I have an office a block away on the same street), remove my possessions and transport me to the police station. I lost my sandwich, however, I was lucky enough to have them lock up my bike for me instead of leaving it on the side of the street for criminals to take…

At the station I was polite as could be because if I wasn’t, they would have, though not legally, kept me in jail until Monday to see a judge to have this case thrown heard. I was questioned, fingerprinted and photographed after being let out of a cage during a process which took over 2 hours. Finally the bondsman showed up to let me go after I paid him $40 non-refundable for his service. I got back all my possessions and began to walk back to my bike, empty stomach, to write this story to you.

I want to be clear that the officers were doing their job, and so was the bondsman and everyone involved conducted themselves professionally, but THIS HAS TO STOP.

Over a minor Violation – the police arrested and made me pay bail, in effect, breaking the law themselves in the process. Not just a minor violation, but fundamental constitutional rights to due process.

No place in America is free or without some sort of oppression waiting for you to slip up. This weekend, please make sure that your shoe laces are tied in accordance with the law. They arrested me for Failure to Appear for charges (which were also BS) that were over 8 years ago – Statute of Limitations for Misdemeanors is 1 yr , they invaded my privacy next to monuments proclaiming “Live Free or Die”

I’m asking for your support by spreading this story and commenting. I will respond. If you don’t – it could happen to you.

With Inuit populations around 20,000 people, Eskimos in Alaska could be, and for the most part are, wiped out through modern society and all the evils that come with it (global warming, over hunting, genocide/territory disputes).

This has been done with little effort of large populations of people and nations of empire, however, no civilization besides the Eskimo could live solely on that difficult land, without external resources and technologies such as oil and electricity. Native populations tend to be respectful of their environment, efficiently using surrounding resources in a sustainable manner.

The masses overtake the minorities, creating imbalance and inefficiency . We see this across many species, cultures, society and even businesses all across the world.

So then, how does the extinction of self-sustaining Eskimos in Alaska affect us in modern times?

So let’s get back to why Facebook’s IPO will fail, not for Facebook, but for all of you “learned” investors. See, nobody talks about the fact that Mark Zuckerburg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes, the mural guy, and countless others are sitting on over a billion shares of stock, for which they can’t sell because of a stock lock up that will last between 90-180 days. They will then take their debted paper shares (Yahoo lawsuits, overhead, employees) and unload them into the market. This will be known as the Facebook IPO Scam.

Too bad Myspace didn’t think of this.

My whole life has been filled with stories of people telling me that I don’t belong here. That I must work and toil just to earn the right to stay. I never believed it.

I would sit and wonder, much on a night like this, alone (or running somewhere in my mind) why I did not belong. Why must Robert Tanguay work a paper route to buy the clothes to fit in, toys to play with or some other fad while others simply seem to have. Am I a bad person?

I would question anyone that would lend an ear, searching for answers to this question but no one could seem to respond. Maybe I had to work hard at being smart – so I moved to books, consuming knowledge of stocks, business, history, and fish tanks to weapons. Still no solution.

Why do some people never have to work, getting all the riches of the world, only to squander them away on vanity? Why was my hard working mother and I so poor?

If you have to work hard in America to be wealthy, would selling greeting cards door to door at age 9 be considered hard work? How about making leather, or stacking wood at a lumber mill for 10 hours a day? Surely the rich kids aren’t doing that – my reward must be near.

Something is wrong. I am not rich, and neither are the vast majority of American’s that work harder than I. Talk is cheap, yet those with the means to be heard seem only to have abundance. With this, I can only reach one conclusion – money isn’t real. It can’t be. If it were, the lady in Africa that has to walk 5 miles just to get enough water to last a day would be laden with cash, and the hedge fund manager would be on the streets. In studying both ends of the spectrum, I have found the answer to becoming rich.

See, the difference between the laborers and the elite are in the resources. Control of these resources determines ability to obtain wealth, and ultimately become rich, gaining more resources, and further ensuring control and your place on top of the “mountain”. It then becomes clear that if you keep those at the bottom from ever getting to the top, you will never have to compete with them, effectively maintaining your wealth with little effort.

So here I am, writing to you, and I have still not explained why I want to be rich. I see the world differently than most – and have proven it to you while writing this article during game six of playoffs, with the Celtics needing a win. It’s not because I don’t enjoy sports, it’s because I believe at the bottom of my soul that they should be playing for me and my friends and family, not the elite watching from above. They’re the ones that told us we don’t belong.

Money in Politics – we can’t seem to get away from it. It wins elections by funding attack campaigns, gains exposure with media coverage and advertisements, and people making money together always seem to endorse each other.

What you may not realized is that the game is rigged. Let me explain how.

All media companies can be easily summed up by it’s expenses:

Content: Video, Music, Talent, Production, Websites, Writing, Scripts, Royalties, ect

Distribution: Broadcast, DVDs, Shipping, Commissions, Web servers – anything that gets content to viewers

And it’s Income:

Advertisements: Commercials, Product Placement, Sponsorships, ect

Usage Rights: OnDemand,Ticket sales, Book-CD sales, downloads, ect

Now political content is fairly inexpensive to produce- so abundant that politicians hand it out in press releases, hopping to land a favorable sound bite in national news, or any coverage at all. Free content for the media. But if TV stations and newspapers gave away their limited press freely, they would never have received the more than 1/2 Billion in ad dollars spent in the 2008 Presidential Electionby Republican and Democratic leads alone – and that’s only the amount legally reported. It’s not including local elections, congress, state, judge and other appointments nor including the ones that didn’t make it. Big money…So what does the press do? They give out free coverage to the candidates that spend the most on ads, they feature candidates popular with big oil, banking and other special interests in Political Advertorials, failing to mention candidates with opposing views (Ron Paul), calling it news. Ever see those ads that don’t appear to be selling you something, but make you feel good. Those are giant corporations influencing your opinion and their press releases are the news you receive – product placement.

Isn’t it ironic that in the pursuit of democracy, we vote for candidates that will most benefit our interests, however historically and as of the recent New Hampshire primary, we elect the ones that spend the most money. Money donated to them by those that benefit from the current system, the ones with disposable income looking for tax breaks.

The whole idea of elections are to ensure that no particular person, group or entity gets too much power. You know, shake it up a little bit. It is impossible to ever have a fair election when you add money to the equation. The outcome will end up the same way, people in power stay in power. American elections exist only to validate those in power and their right to “rule”. This is a democracy, you know.

But wait, what if the current elite saw the loss of productivity caused by voter disenfranchisement and realized that the old tricks won’t work anymore. People get their information freely from the internet, validated by millions of comments from other internet users and social networkers. They might consider providing an open platform to discuss the real issues, and elect leaders that take us back to our nation’s roots of independent, small businesses and self sufficient families – what made America great in the first place.

Enter SOPA and countless other “Internet Policing” laws getting forced down our throats like medicine to a test patient. Don’t worry – it’s good for us, plus, we get paid in the form of benefits (unemployment, welfare, police). All we have to do is let our Corporation run government control the distribution of ALL our news and media – but that is another article in itself.

I don’t know about you, but personally, I am sick of this “recession” stuff. I think we all are.

There’s just one problem – the entire <del>country</del> world is divided. And not 50/50, but more like 1/99 (Remember the Occupy Movement?).

Now I’m trying to be optimistic about 2012, but here’s the reality:
Nothing is going to change if we don’t acknowledge our problems and hold accountable those that caused them.

Sounds simple right? Wrong. See the thing with those pesky problem causers is that they’re the ones that control the punishments. Perhaps there will be a time when money in politics will be looked at as the Jim Crow Laws where when they were abolished less than 50 years ago.

The real root of our problems, and I mean all problems ( from health care, gay marriage, poverty, tax, war, national debt) are mater of law and access to it, and man made law is nothing more than matter of opinion. Opinion limits human achievement.
